Ghost pattern
What you need:
- White sport yarn
- C2 or 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Black embroidery thread
- Dark gray Size 5 embroidery cotton
- #6 or 1.75 mm crochet hook
- Pillow stuffing
- Darning needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase
- dec = decrease
- sl st = slip stitch
- ch = chain stitch
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- [ ] = work instructions within these symbols as many times as directed
- ( ) = number of stitches in the row/round
- FLO = work inserting hook in Front Loop Only
- F/O = Fasten Off
BODY:
With white and 2.5 mm hook
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: [1 inc + 1 sc] x 6 (18)
Round 4: [1 inc + 2 sc] x 6 (24)
Round 5: [1 inc + 3 sc] x 6 (30)
Round 6: [1 inc + 4 sc] x 6 (36)
Rounds 7-13: 36 sc (36)
Round 14: [1 dec, 4 sc] x 6 (30)
Rounds 15-16: 30 sc (30)
Round 17: [1 inc + 4 sc] x 6 (36)
Round 18: 36 sc (36)
Round 19: FLO [1 inc + 5 sc] x 6 (42)
F/O. Hide tail.
Separately, with white:
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: [1 inc + 1 sc] x 6 (18)
Round 4: [1 inc + 2 sc] x 6 (24)
Round 5: [1 inc + 3 sc] x 6 (30)
Stuff the body and sew the bottom to the back loops of round 19.


ARMS (make 2):
With white and 2.5 mm hook:
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Rounds 3-5: 12 sc (12)
F/O. Leave long tail.
Sew on each side of the body.

Embroider the eyes and mouth with black embroidery cotton.

BALL AND CHAIN:
With dark gray Size 5 embroidery cotton and 1.75 mm crochet hook:
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: [1 inc + 1 sc] x 6 (18)
Round 4: [1 inc + 2 sc] x 6 (24)
Round 5: [1 inc + 3 sc] x 6 (30)
Rounds 6-8: 30 sc (30)
Round 9: [1 dec + 3 sc] x 6 (24)
Round 10: [1 dec + 2 sc] x 6 (18)
Round 11: [1 dec + 1 sc] x 6 (12)
(stuff your work)
Round 12: 6 dec (6)
F/O. Close hole. Hide tail.
Separately, with dark gray and 1.75 mm hook:
Ch 46, leaving long tails on both ends.
Attach one end of the chain to the ghost hand and the other end to the ball.
